Tour of the LT production

LT underwent considerable expansion at the end of the 1980s as it began processing stainless-steel raw materials to be used for Jakob’s wire architectural ropes. Three decades later, stainless steel is still important, but now tool steels, aluminium and non-ferrous metals are also processed at the Trub site.
Small and medium product series of up to 80,000 pieces are produced, as well as specialized individual parts.

LT’s customers come from a wide range of different industries. LT produces parts for the machine and vehicle industry, medical technology, plumbing products, the semiconductor industry, the defense industry, the construction industry and architectural projects.

The MAZAK Integrex i-100 ST multifunctional machine is set to join the range of manufacturing equipment at LT in April 2019. It will bridge the gap between the Gildemeister TWIN 65 and the Mazak Integrex i-200 S U1000, enabling LT to expand its capacity in high-end manufacturing and reduce set-up times and production costs.

LT has very high quality standards. Before parts leave the production facility in Trub, they are tested using a 3D tester, among other testing equipment. Although LT is not ISO certified, its own quality assurance standards conform to ISO 9001 standards.
